Jovanna Javis is a Masters Level Professional Counselor pursuing her licensure in Georgia. She recently graduated from Liberty University with a Masters of Arts degree in Professional Counseling. Her clinical experience includes anxiety, depression, trauma and developmental disabilities. She has clinical experience working with individuals, adolescents, children, children on the autism spectrum, and conducting parent trainings. Prior to pursuing counseling, Jovanna worked as a Registered Behavior Technician for 7 years with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. She is passionate about walking alongside clients in their healing journeys. Jovanna’s specialties consist of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness. She utilizes an eclectic approach in counseling. She bases counseling strategies based on the client. Jovanna’s goal in counseling is to partner with the client in the healing journey. She also really loves data. She does give homework assignments, but this is to help the client bring change in their everyday lives. Jovanna is a Savannah native and loves to engage with others. She is known for her sense of humor and openness to new experiences.
